Show your logo in the inbox with BIMI
Publish a verified logo that Gmail and Apple Mail display next to your messages.
1–2 weeks (certificate)
why this matters
A branded avatar in the inbox measurably lifts open rates and makes phishing that imitates you far more obvious.
Step by step
- 1
Get DMARC to enforcement
BIMI requires p=quarantine or p=reject with full coverage. Do the DMARC enforcement guide first — nothing else here matters until that is done.
- 2
Prepare an SVG Tiny PS logo
Square, centred, with a solid background and no external references. Your designer exports SVG then trims it to the Tiny PS profile.
- 3
Buy a Verified Mark Certificate
A VMC from an authorised certificate authority proves you own the trademark. Budget a few hundred to a low four-figure sum a year and one to two weeks of verification.
- 4
Host both files and publish the record
Serve the SVG and the PEM certificate over HTTPS, then point the BIMI record at them.
Type: TXT Name: default._bimi Value: v=BIMI1; l=https://example.com/logo.svg; a=https://example.com/vmc.pem
how to check it worked
- A BIMI validator accepts the record, logo and certificate
- A test message to Gmail shows your logo

Merge multiple SPF records into one
Two SPF records is a permanent failure — combine them.
Set your SPF enforcement correctly
Replace +all or a missing all mechanism with -all.
Get SPF back under the 10-lookup limit
Flatten or consolidate includes so SPF stops returning permerror.
